Road Trip to Ooty

Its my road trip photos to Ooty (queen of hills). I will post photos of Ooty later, in another post. Ooty is beautiful place to visit for your summer vacation. There are many places to visit in Ooty like Ooty lake, rose garden, botanical garden, etc. It is also famous for its train station and a century old mountain rail. Plastic is banned in Ooty. Everyone uses recycled papers and cloth bags.

Botanical garden is a big place and got rare plant species and 20 million year old fossilized trees. It was inaugurated in 1847. Its an interesting place to go. It is well maintained by the government.

Rose garden is awesome place to go. They got over 20000 varieties of roses. If you are planning to go to Ooty, plan between May 15 to June 10 because during that time they conduct flower show in rose garden.

Beautiful Darjeeling

Awesome place to go for tour. Located in Indian state of West Bengal, Darjeeling is a Himalayan city.The best way to reach is by train. The Darjeeling railway station is declares as world heritage site by UNESCO.

Gulmarg is a hill station in Jammu and Kashmir. It is the best place for winter sports in India. It is among the top five ski places in Asia and the best place to enjoy summer vacation for snow lovers. For more information, feel free to comment or contact.

Best world tour videos

This video is taken by various people around the world. The idea is of Matt Harding, who decided to travel around the world after his retirement. He was making videos to update his family and friends of his location. Then decided to dance in the video. Its the only dance he does and his friends say that he does it badly. But that dance become more popular and spread all around the internet. He went to dance another video in 2007 in all the continents, sponsored by Stride gum. He has also done a commercial for visa.
The specialty of this video is, in this one he made different people around the world to dance with him. This is the first time I saw entire world dancing together (even though in different time but on a single tune).

This video was taped by three guys who traveled for 44 days to shot almost terabyte of footage to make a minute of video. It is perfectly shot and edited with a good music to make it better.  They got another couple of videos, but this is the best video they made.

Thirunallar, Temple, Pondicherry

Beautiful temple in Thirunallar. Thirunallar is located in Karaikal, a small town in Pondicherry. I loved the architecture and the painting of the temple. I am not a religious guy, so I dont know about the history of the temple or the god in it. But I respect others belief. So I got some informations for those who wants. This is the only temple in the world for Shani. Shani is the God of trouble. People believe that Shani gives us the results of one's deeds through one's life through appropriate punishments and rewards. He is the brother of Yama (God of death).

Shani transit from one Zodiac sign to another after every 7.5 years. The time is calculated on the basis of planet Saturn's revolution.

The pond above is known as nala theertham. People say that if one bath in this pond and leave a old cloth in that pond, his/her problems will be solved.
